♥ Lent

Hmm well okay I'm blogging three times in a day, this has to be an all-time record. Reading through my posts and I realized I'm so much messier these days compared to before. And my posts contain so much less content. Which makes me sad. It's like, my brain size shrunk. See: I almost said shrinked, but I caught myself in time.

It's since that incident lol. That one post where I said too much. But I've decided to just blog what I want to blog, like the past. Anyway, it's ASH WEDNESDAY today!

Never really honored the Lent the past few years, but I decided to this year.
From some site:

Lent is a season of soul-searching and repentance. It is a season for reflection and taking stock. Lent originated in the very earliest days of the Church as a preparatory time for Easter, when the faithful rededicated themselves and when converts were instructed in the faith and prepared for baptism. By observing the forty days of Lent, the individual Christian imitates Jesus’ withdrawal into the wilderness for forty days.
Read this when I was researching about Lent, so I decided to observe Lent this year :) By observing Lent, I mean that I'm going to stay away from FB, and I'll be fasting quite a bit more yay! And I want to be more like Christ, so here's a list of things I'm going to have to change:

  • Have more discipline. In small things like waking up on time for school, like calling people when I need to call them, in doing my work every day and not procrastinating..God I pray for discipline in my life.
  • Learn to love people more :) Even those I don't know. Just need to go that little extra.
  • Be more observant. Similar to the point above, but for me usually I don't notice when people aren't doing well..it's only when they ask me for help will I help them. If you ask me for help, I'll rush to help you, but I need to learn to notice when people need help, even when they don't ask.
  • Wisdom from God...so many times I don't know what to do or what to say, but Lord let me learn to count on You for strength and wisdom!
  • Trust God more and not depend on my humanly strength [or lack thereof].
  • The usual A word I guess. Working on it!
Soul-searching. Repentance. Reflection. Taking stock. Rededicating myself.

God I say once again, I love You :)
