♥ Cry of the Wild
Lips withdrawn they showed
Their fangs, gleaming in the dark.
Leaping forward without any abode,
They entered the battle that in history would leave its mark.
“Charge!” the command given
May lead many cubs to their downfall
And yet they know it cannot be untaken
So onwards they charged, once and for all.
Their fangs, gleaming in the dark.
Leaping forward without any abode,
They entered the battle that in history would leave its mark.
“Charge!” the command given
May lead many cubs to their downfall
And yet they know it cannot be untaken
So onwards they charged, once and for all.
Brave young cubs wasting their futures,
In this brutal world of warfare.
They knew, of course, of the dangers,
Regardless they charged, into the enemy’s lair.
The war was over,
The battleground stained red.
Which was the victor?
None, for all lay dead.
I have yet to add in literary devices, but as of now my brain is not working. Wolves as a symbol of dehumanizing? Or something. Have yet to decide on the literary device that's called, but for now this is it :) Oh but I'll add another stanza in front probably, about the state of the wolves. Or somewhere. Yeah :D
