♥ Follow Your Heart
Not going to apply for CAP. And if you ask, yes, I'm disappointed. Really disappointed, because I love writing. But I'm beginning to doubt that that's my career choice. You say I'm still young to think about what I want in life, but I'm not. Everyone gets to have their own goals and ambitions in life, even as a five-year-old I'd guarantee I wanted to be something. [A doctor, to be precise.]
These dreams are what we kids hang on to in life. But sometimes we get disheartened...my whole family is in business. They'd want me to go into business. Since I was a lil' kid, they've trained me to think like them, I've been trained to go into the business industry. But sometimes I'm not sure...do I really want to do this? I love love love writing. I've wanted to write a book since I was 9. I've tried, but never did succeed. And CAP will help me, definitely. Not that I can't without it.
My dad says I can do both; he says he'll support me all the way; but I don't think he really does think that way. Obviously he'd want me to go into business, no? :/
I think we should let kids be what they want to be, and just support them. The world is changing, and changing it is rapidly. It's still true that the business industry is one where we can be successful in...but sometimes, we've got to follow our hearts' desire, our true passion in life.
And I'm not sure what that is.
